• December 21 & January 4 — Comparison Tasting

We are excited to introduce a new tasting experience at Catoctin Breeze!

We call it the “Comparison Tasting”. This will be a seated tasting in the lounge and will only be held for a limited time while the wines are still available.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience three “mini” vertical tastings – which is comparing the same wine, or vineyard block(s), grown in different years. The tastings will be limited to groups of 8, and guided by Brian Case, one of our winegrowers. Brian will elaborate on how the different growing conditions from each year have an impact on the wine’s expression, while also touching on stylistic differences in winemaking.

How does Chardonnay from a cooler year compare to a warmer year? How does a blend composition transform the structure of a wine? This is all expressed in the glass.

We invite you to join us in the lounge to taste through 7 carefully selected wines that each tell their own story. Many of the wines are new, not yet released, and only available to purchase during the event.

All events are weather dependent and 21+.

  • December 21 — Gauchito Steaks & Winter Solstice

Come out to celebrate the Winter Solstice, celebrating the return of the Sun!

Gauchito Steaks will be here for purchase from 12-4pm. Enjoy with a glass of your favorite vintage, or share a bottle and cozy up to our indoor fire in the tasting room.

If we have good weather for it and low wind, we will start up the outdoor community fire as well!

All events are weather dependent and 21+.

  • January 10 — Member's Night

We invite you to join us in the tasting room to enjoy a cozy winter evening with us. The fireplace will be roaring!

We will be sampling and pre-releasing the 2023 Catoctin Breeze Chardonnay.

Members will also have the opportunity to taste a guest wine, a Chardonnay sourced from Meursault, a commune (village) in Burgundy, France.

The evening will be held from 6-8pm and the winery will be closed to the general public during that time frame.

Space will be limited to 60 people per evening, and we encourage you to reserve your spot now.
