Do you serve food?
Between May and September, we will have food trucks on site every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please check our “Event Calendar” for a complete schedule. We do not offer any other food beyond that.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, but please keep it in the picnic areas outside. If you are renting our facility for a private event, feel free to bring your own picnic or a licensed caterer. NO outside alcohol is allowed at any time.
Do you allow limousines and buses?
No. We are unable to accommodate limos, buses, or groups larger than 8 at this time.
Do you allow outside alcohol?
No. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited per MD law and will be removed from property if onsite.
Do you offer group tastings?
Yes, private tastings are offered by appointment only for groups of 2-6 people. Click here to book!
Do you have a weather policy for live music?
Live music will be cancelled if it is raining.
Do you offer tours?
Yes, we do offer tours Monday-Friday. If you would like to schedule a tour, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
How much is a wine tasting?
We offer two different wine tastings. Our Vintner’s Choice Tasting is $12 featuring five wines selected by our vigneron, Voytek Fizyta. We also offer a Sweet Wine Tasting at $8, and it includes a variety of four off-dry wines. Tastings are free of charge for Catoctin Cru members and up to four of their guests. Do I need to make a reservation?
No reservations are needed to join us on the farm. Just show up and enjoy! Due to Covid-19, we are currently limited groups to no larger than eight.
Do you reserve seating arrangements?
No, we do not reserve seating for guests. Our seating is on a first come first serve basis, but you are more than welcome to bring your own chairs and blankets.
Is live music free?
Music is free of charge to our patrons. Otherwise, a cover charge of $10 per person is required.
Can I bring my children?
We discourage our guests from bringing children in order to help maintain the pleasant adult atmosphere that our patrons seek. CBV is a working farm with several hazards; so if you decide to bring your children they must remain under your supervision at all times.
Can I play games on the lawn?
No. Playing games or sports on our lawn is prohibited as it interferes with our guests’ expectations for a quiet environment.
What is your policy on pets?
We are dog friendly to friendly dogs. We ask that you clean up after your pet, keep them outside at all times on a leash, and do not leave them unattended.
Do you host weddings?
No, our facility is not set up to do weddings.
